We'll see Antoni Gaudi's incredible La Sagrada Familia, the famous Villa Olimpica neighbourhood and Port Olimpic marina, before continuing to the Montjuic Mountain. We also see the Gothic Quarter, Cathedral Square, Saint James Square and Catalonia Square. Tonight we enjoy a group welcome dinner. Day 4. Barcelona “B See more of Antoni Gaudi’s Barcelona today, including the undulating Casa Batllé, Casa Mila and visit Park GUell - home to more of his truly unique works of art. Day 5. Barcelona - Vielha €) “B After breakfast, we depart for breathtaking Espot, located right next to AigUestortes National Park in the Pyrenees mountain range. Characterised by stunning peaks and almost 200 lakes, we'll explore the many sides to this landscape travelling through by 4WD. Tonight we'll stop in the small Pyrenean town of Vielha, known for its ancient stone and slate architecture. Day 6. Vielha - San Sebastian Sit back and enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery as we travel to the Spanish beachside town of San Sebastian. In San Sebastian, we take a city tour and ride the cable car to the top of Igueldo Mountain for beautiful panoramic views of Santa Clara Island, Mount Ulia and La Concha Bay. te Taste txakoli, the region's famous dry white wine which pairs perfectly with a side of pintxos. Day 7. San Sebastian “B Enjoy the day at leisure to explore this culinary coastal town at your own pace. Day 8. San Sebastian - Bilbao This morning we make the short trip to Bilbao, the Basque Country's largest city and a delightful mix of tradition and modernity. On our way, we'll travel out to Guernica to visit the Peace Museum. In Bilbao we'll explore Frank Gehry’s celebrated Guggenheim Museum. The building's incredible exterior isn’t the only thing to see - the museum is also home to one of the world’s largest art collections. Day 9. Bilbao Our city tour today includes the Santiago Cathedral, Plaza Nueva and Mercado de la Ribera, built on the site of the original Rivera Street market and said to be one of Europe's biggest covered food markets. We'll also make our way to the top of Mt Artxanda for spectacular city views. Day 10. Bilbao - Oviedo We depart Bilbao and continue west, following the northern Spanish coastline to Oviedo. Famous for its historic old quarter with a distinct medieval flavour, it's the perfect place for exploring on foot. Our walking tour here includes the cathedral, the Palace of Valdecarzana-Heredia, and the ruins of the San Tirso Church, plus we'll pass through Porlier Square surrounded by two magnificent palaces - the Toreno and the Camposagrado Palaces. “¢B *%B “~B “B Day 11. Oviedo - “BD Santiago de Compostela Our next destination is historic Santiago de Compostela, the culmination point of the famous Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route, and the supposed burial site of the apostle St James. Day 12. Santiago de Compostela After breakfast, we discover the Galician capital on a city tour. Highlights include the famous Cathedral, the surrounding squares of Obradoiro, Quintana, Inmaculada and Praterias, and the historic ruas. This afternoon. we'll visit a winery to learn all about Albarifio, a variety of white wine created in the area. Day 13. Santiago de Compostela @) = BD Today we walk part of the centuries-old pilgrimage route, the famous “Camino de Santiago”. Day 14. Santiago de Compostela - Porto This morning we cross the border into Portugal and travel to colourful Porto. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure in one of Europe's oldest cities. Day 15. Porto *B Our day begins with a city tour to discover the Ribeira Quarter and visit St Francisco Church and the famous Stock Exchange Palace, Palacio da Bolsa. Learn how authentic port is made and get to taste it at one of the many producers in Porto. Enjoy a scenic cruise along the Douro River later this afternoon. Day 16. Porto - Coimbra We continue south, stopping in beautiful Aveiro, the 'Portuguese Venice’. We'll enjoy a tour and have some free time before departing for Coimbra. Here we'll see the university and the breathtaking Coimbra Library, a masterpiece of gilt woodwork. Day 17. Coimbra - Lisbon @ “B This morning we stop in the towns of Obidos and Sintra. te We visit the mesmerising Quinta da Regaleira, an impressive 20th century residence decorated with gothic turrets and ornate gargoyles. Day 18. Lisbon Today we discover captivating Lisbon. Our sightseeing tour includes Park Edward VII, Liberty Avenue as well as the district of Belém, where we'll find the Monument to the Discoveries. Our last stop is the beautifully intricate Jeronimus Monastery. Taste the famous Portuguese custard tart at Antiga Confeitaria. No visit to Lisbon would be complete without it! The rest of the day is at leisure to explore at your Own pace. Day 19. Lisbon - The Algarve Portugal's breathtaking southern coast awaits. Today we travel to the Algarve, famous for its golden beaches, incredible coastline and villages. Day 20. Algarve “B Today we'll explore the Algarve's breathtaking Ria Formosa Natural Park. Here we will cruise through the wetlands, taking in the wonderful scenery and amazing wildlife, and stop at the peaceful Armona Island to explore. Day 21. Algarve - Evora We head to the historic UNESCO World Heritage-listed town of Evora today.
