Day 01: Arrive Seoul Welcome to South Korea. Be met on arrival and transferred to your luxurious hotel in Seoul. Tonight, meet your Tour Director and fellow travellers for a special welcome dinner at Seokparang, where you'll experience Korean royal cuisine, and try local drinks including soju and rice wine. D Four Nights: Lotte Hotel Seoul. Day 02: Seoul Enjoy a full day to explore Seoul. Following breakfast, head to Gyeongbok Palace, the country’s largest palace and a former royal residence for five centuries. Witness the lively changing of the guard ceremony before taking a tour of the palace. After lunch transfer to Bukchon Hanok Village. BLD: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner 34 Explore the village and try your hand at making traditional crafts. Later, soak in the views at Seoul Tower atop Mount Namsan, where you'll enjoy dinner overlooking the city. BLD Day 03: Seoul This morning, head to the Dongdaemun Gate area to discover the Seoul Fortress Wall and Naksan Park Course, by foot. In the afternoon, choose between a visit to Changdeok Palace and its Secret Garden, a tour of the War Memorial of Korea or a Modern Seoul tour. Tonight, savour temple food at Balwoo Gongyang, traditional cuisine at Korea House or steakhouse fare at Butcher's Cut (see page 41). BD Day 04: Seoul, Demilitarised Zone, Seoul Discover the fascinating Korean Demilitarised Zone (DMZ) on the border with North Korea. Visit Imjingak Park, the Third Infiltration Tunnel, Freedom Bridge, Dorasan Station and Dora Observatory, which offers views into North Korea. After a delicious lunch, return to Seoul to enjoy the evening at your leisure. BL Day 05: Seoul, Jeonju Take a KTX express train in a deluxe seat to Jeonju. Learn how to make bibimbap, South Korea's most popular dish, and enjoy your creation for lunch. This afternoon, head out to explore Jeonju Hanok Village, soaking in visits to the Jeonju Fan Culture Centre and Crafts Exhibition Hall, Japan & South Korea 2024 Gyeonggijeon Shrine, Jeondong Cathedral and the Jeonju Traditional Drinks Museum. Enjoy dinner at your hotel tonight. BLD Stay: Lahan Hotel Jeonju. Day O6: Jeonju, Gayasan National Park, Gyeongju Journey to Gayasan National Park and visit Haeinsa Temple. After lunch, transfer to Gayatgo Village to learn how to craft your very own mini gayageum, a traditional stringed musical instrument, before venturing on to Gyeongju. Check in to your luxury accommodation and indulge in dinner at your hotel this evening. BLD ‘Two Nights: Lahan Select Gyeongju. Day 07: Gyeongju Explore the Bulguksa Temple complex, first visiting the World Heritage-listed Seokguram Grotto. Enjoy tea time with a monk at Bulguksa Temple before immersing yourself in more of Gyeongju’s highlights with visits to the Gyeongju National Museum, Tumuli Park and Cheomseongdae Observatory, and a moonlight walking tour of Donggung and Wolji Pond. Savour dinner at your hotel tonight. BLD Day 08: Gyeongju, Ulsan, Busan After breakfast, head to Ulsan. Discover Daewangam Park and Ulsandaegyo Bridge Observatory, the latter of which offers panoramic views of the Hyundai Shipyard. Continue to Busan to visit
