BLD: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner 78 Day 01: Arrive Cairns, Port Douglas On arrival in Cairns, we'll transfer you to your resort in Port Douglas. Enjoy time to relax before a degustation welcome dinner at Port Douglas’ most awarded restaurant, Harrison's. D Stay: Port Douglas, Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort. Day 02: Mossman Gorge, Daintree National Park Travel to Mossman Gorge in Daintree National Park for a Ngadiku Dreamtime Gorge Walk, led by local Indigenous guides, when available. Later, join a Daintree River cruise and dine under the stars in the rainforest. BLD Stay: Daintree National Park, Heritage Lodge or similar. Day 03: Cape Tribulation, Bloomfield Track, Cooktown Explore Cape Tribulation, where the Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef meet. Then journey along the Bloomfield Track, one of Australia’s most iconic outback roads. Your day culminates in Cooktown visiting the Cooktown Botanic Gardens and the James Cook Museum. Just before sunset, view Endeavour River from Grassy Hill Lookout. BLD Stay: Cooktown, Sovereign Resort Hotel. Day 04: Quinkan Country, Laura, Rinyirru (Lakefield) National Park Set off for Quinkan Country to join an Indigenous guide on a walk to Split Rock, a Quinkan rock art site. Later, head to Rinyirru (Lakefield) National Park. BLD Stay: Musgrave Roadhouse. Kimberley & Outback Wilderness Adventures 2024 Day 05: Coen, Gulf Country, Weipa Explore the old gold mining town of Coen and stop at the well-known Archer River Roadhouse for lunch, which marks the halfway point of your journey. Afterwards, continue to the town of Weipa, home to the largest community on the Cape York Peninsula. BLD Stay: Weipa, Albatross Bay Resort. Day 06: Weipa, Bramwell Station Board a boat trip in Weipa to learn about the region's unique ecosystem, mining history and Indigenous culture. Later, travel to Bramwell Station. BLD Stay: Bramwell Station. Day 07: Fruit Bat Falls, Punsand Bay Observe Bramwell Junction's towering termite mounds before continuing to Fruit Bat Falls for a swim. Cross Jardine River by ferry. Then skirt Jardine River National Park and travel via the traditional land of the Injinoo Indigenous people. BLD Two Nights: Cape York Peninsula Lodge. Day 08: Punsand Bay, Tip of Cape York Today travel along a 4WD track to Frangipani Beach. Walk to the tip of the peninsula with views across the Torres Strait before joining a scenic helicopter flight over the tip of Cape York. After your tip of Cape York experience, visit historic Somerset Hill, the site of a station established in 1863, admire views of Albany Island from Somerset Beach. BLD
