BD Day 03: Siem Reap Rise early this morning and travel back to Angkor Archaeological Park for a special sunrise experience at Angkor Wat. BLD: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner As the sun rises over this World Heritage-listed monument, stand before the silhouette of the temple's tips, while brilliant shades of orange and pink light up the sky. Afterwards, enjoy a guided exploration of this well- preserved temple, before returning to your hotel for breakfast. This afternoon, a choice of sightseeing awaits. Experience a Buddhist blessing, enjoy the countryside on a horse and cart ride, quad bike or bicycle tour, visit a local workshop, go shopping or enjoy a relaxing spa treatment. Tonight choose from a range of local restaurants for dinner. BD Day 04: Kampong Cham, Embark Ship, Koh Pen Transfer to Kampong Cham and embark the Mekong Serenity, your home for the next seven nights. Following lunch on board, explore the island of Koh Pen by tuk tuk. Travelling through shaded lanes, keep an eye out for wooden stilted houses tucked among palm and sandalwood trees. You can see a varying range of crops, including tobacco, betel nuts, watermelons, coconuts and many more tropical fruits. Day O5: Angkor Ban, Oknha Tey Take a walking discovery of Angkor Ban, one of the few villages in Cambodia that was not destroyed under the Khmer Rouge regime in the 1970s. Vietnam & Cambodia 2023/24 Here, people still live in their traditional wooden abodes and keep ancient cultural traditions alive. Later, your ship glides alongside the lush banks of the Mekong to Oknha Tey, renowned for its silk weaving traditions. Here, gain an insight into the traditional process that has been preserved for centuries. Afterwards, return to your river ship, where youll relax and unwind before delicious onboard dining tonight. BLD Day 06: Phnom Penh, Oudong, Koh Chen Discover Oudong, a place of pilgrimage for Cambodians, where you'll enjoy a Buddhist Blessing Ceremony. On the way back to your ship, take a leisurely stroll through the village of Koh Chen and visit some home workshops that make copperware. The afternoon is yours to explore Phnom Penh as you wish. Before dinner, be treated to a Khmer folk performance. BLD Day 07: Phnom Penh Today, choose your included sightseeing. Experience some of Cambodia's sobering history with a moving visit to the Killing Fields and Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum. Ride by tuk tuk past the railway station and Wat Phnom or visit the National Museum. You can also explore the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda, or set off on a craft beer tour of local microbreweries.
