Since the program launched in November 2021, 550 tonnes of batteries have been collected for recycling. That's equivalent to over 22 million AA batteries! i FROM USED PLANT a POTS 10 MEIN BEGINMINGS (Our customers can return used plant pots and stakes made from polypropylene plastic otherwise known as PS) for recycling thanks to Bunnings extended plastic plant pot recycling program. With drop off points now available at over 240 stores ‘cross Australia and New Zealand, the community can reuse or return used pots, which are recycled into items such as new pots, or token by customers for reuse. Most recycling faciliies don't accept PPS plant packaging, so this is @ great way thot we can divert these products from londfil and create a circular solution. iE 4 re toa ono ToWwaRDs MoRE SUSTAINBLE PACKAGING SOLUTIONS In partnership with our suppliers, Bunnings remains focused on removing unnecessary product packaging, improving packa design for recovery, and reducing the use of packaging materials which are difficult for customers to recycle. (Our Sustainable Packaging Guidelines help us work with our suppliers to switch to more sustainable packaging throughout the supply chain. The application of the Austrolosian Recycling Label (ARL on new products makes it easier for our customers to recycle. This yor, the ARL has been applied to over 1,100 ‘oddiional Bunnings products furthering our commitment to sustainability
