Hanoi “BL An early start this morning to discover Hanoi as the city awakens. We'll visit the flower market, the Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake. This afternoon, we'll see Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda and the Temple of Literature. Day 5. Hanoi - Sapa This morning, we take a scenic journey through some of northern Vietnam's breathtaking countryside to the hills of Sapa and Ta Phin Village, inhabited by the Red Dao ethnic group. Here we'll learn the touching story of the abandoned monastery. Meet the locals who will inform us about a local and successful enterprise connecting them with the Hanoi University of Medicine. Share a home-cooked meal tonight with the local Ly Ma Man family, learning about their culture and how corn alcohol is produced. Day6.Sapa © We begin today with a soft trek through Muong Valley, where we'll learn the secrets of rice farming, local health and schooling in Laos Chai Village. We'll also discover ‘batik’, a traditional Black Hmong textile dyeing technique, during a hands-on class. “BD “BD “BL Day 7. Sapa - Hanoi “B Today we'll return to Hanoi. Day 8. Hanoi - Halong Bay “BLD Take in breathtaking Halong Bay today. & Embark Cruise: We'll board our cruise vessel and enjoy lunch while witnessing the incredible views. We'll disembark at Viet Hai Village and take a bicycle or electric car tour. Return to the boat and relax with dinner on the deck this evening. @ Inight: Luxury Vietnamese cruise boat Day 9. Halong Bay - Hanoi - Hue “B After breakfast we'll cruise to Cua Van floating village and then visit Hang Sang Toi (Dark and Bright Cave), known for its stunning limestone structure. 4@ Disembark Cruise: After enjoying brunch back on board, we'll disembark and return to Hanoi for our flight to Hue. Day 10. Hue Today is dedicated to discovering Hue. This morning we'll visit the royal tombs of emperors Tu Duc and Khai Dinh, take in the panoramic views from Bunker Hill, before a quick stop at the Tiger Colosseum. We will explore the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Citadel at the Imperial Palace, along with the Thien My Pagoda. Our day concludes with a dragon boat cruise along Perfume River. Day 11. Hue - Hoi An *B Discover Truc Chi today, a traditional bamboo paper art. Learn about its history from local artists and enjoy a hands-on experience. The finished products yours to keep! In the afternoon we'll depart for Hoi An via the scenic Hai Van Pass. Day 12. Hoi An We begin the day with a walking tour of charming Hoi An. Highlights include the Culture & History Museum and the Japanese Bridge. * Visit a colourful local market before taking a short cruise along the Hoi An River to the secluded Red Bridge Cooking School for an aromatic and informative cooking class. “BL “BD Day 13. Hoi An eB The day is at leisure for you to enjoy this picturesque town at your own pace. Day 14. Hoi An - Danang - Saigon “BD This morning we fly to Saigon, also known as. Ho Chi Minh City. * Go off the beaten track to discover Saigon’s best food spots. Touring by vespa, we'll taste authentic Vietnamese cuisine as the locals do. Day 15. Mekong Delta Excursion @ We explore the Ben Tre province in the Mekong region today by xe loi. We'll stop at a family-owned coconut processing business anda brick making factory. We'll then cycle to a local rice noodle factory and visit Mr Sau Tuong, a former Viet Cong soldier. Day 16. Saigon - Vung Tau @ BL Today we'll enjoy a half day tour of Saigon, including the moving War Remnants Museum and the Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral and Central Post Office. This afternoon we'll drive to the port city of Vung Tau Day 17. Vung Tau BL We'll learn more about the Vietnam War today with visits to Long Tan-Long Dat and the former Nui Dat Task Force Base. Continuing ‘on, we'll stop at the Long Tan Cross Memorial and the Long Phuoc Tunnels. Day 18. Vung Tau - Saigon “BD Returning to Saigon, we will then bid farewell to Vietnam with a group dinner tonight. Day 19. Saigon - Siem Reap “BD We will fly to Cambodia's Siem Reap today, Travelling by tuk tuk, we'll enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. Day 20.SiemReap © Our day is spent in Angkor, visiting the ancient fortified city of Angkor Thom, the Terraces of the Elephants and the Leper King. We'll also visit the temples of Baphuon and Phimeanakas before cruising Tonlé Sap Lake to see the colourful floating villages and observe the daily life of the locals. Day 21.SiemReap @ “BD We begin our day with a visit to the Temple “BL “BL of Ta Keo, the amazing ruins of Ta Prohm and the Temple of Preah Khan. We'll also see the Buddhist temples of Banteay Kdei and Banteay Srei. Take part in a Khmer cooking class with a local family and learn about their food customs and beliefs. We'll savour our creations at lunch, overlooking a lily pond. Day 22. Siem Reap - Phnom Penh “B An early start to witness the breathtaking views, shadows and reflections of Angkor Wat at sunrise. Enjoy free time to explore the temple, before we fly to Phnom Penh this afternoon Day 23. Phnom Penh Today we visit the poignant Killing Fields and the notorious Security Prison 21, Tuol Sleng. The former prison has been turned into a moving museum which stands as a testament to the crimes committed by Pol Pot's Khmer Rouge. This afternoon we'll explore the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda and National Museum by rickshaw. Tonight we'll enjoy a group farewell dinner. Day 24. Depart Phnom Penh Today we begin our journey home.
