c Climate The climate of most of Central and Eastern Europe, including southern Scandinavia, is categorised as cool-summer humid continental. As in Western Europe, summers are mild, but winters are significantly colder, with snowfall a common occurrence in certain locations. As weather patterns can vary significantly depending on time of year and destination, please refer to ww.climate-zone.com for current weather information. Coaches Coaches used on our Classic Journeys have additional legroom, or are 40-seater coaches, and feature an onboard toilet and complimentary wi-fi internet. On our Small Group Journeys, our luxury coaches have no more than 40 seats and are equipped with complimentary wi-fi internet. As coaches use a satellite system for wi-fi internet, routing may cause reception to be restricted at times. Complimentary wi-fi internet is not available on our Grand City Stays. Currency In Europe, the currency on board MV Lady Eleganza, L’Austral and our river ships is the Euro. The currency on board the MS Hebridean Sky is the British pound sterling (GBP). For your convenience, all purchases and paid services on board our river ships are billed to your shipboard account. At the end of the cruise, you will receive a total that can be paid with cash or credit card. The ships do not accept payments made by Diners Club cards, prepaid Visa or MasterCard, EFTPOS, Travelex cards, cash passports, prepaid cash cards or travellers’ cheques. The holiday package can be cancelled prior to the final payment date and your deposit will be retained as an APT holding credit to be used for future bookings. If Deposit Cancellation Peace of Mind is claimed, monies held must be used on a future cruise or tour and cannot be redeemed against the original cruise or tour departure date. Deposit held in credit will exclude fees imposed by third parties, including but not limited to air travel, rail travel and hotels. When booking airfares through APT (including when taking advantage of a special offer that includes air travel), standard airline cancellation fees will apply. In some cases, airfares will be non-refundable. In the event of cancellation, these fees will be deducted from the deposit paid, and therefore the credit being held. APT Deposit Cancellation Peace of Mind applies to new bookings only and is only valid up until 100 days prior to travel. After three years, unused credit funds will incur the original cancellation conditions as per brochure. This does not replace travel insurance, which we strongly recommend at the time of booking. Live Fully Dini All meals on board your cruise are included. Meals are served in the restaurant in a single sitting. No table reservations can be made in the main restaurants, however once on board our river ships, guests have the option of making a reservation at the Chef's Table Restaurant. On board our river and ocean ships, enjoy a full buffet breakfast each morning in the main restaurant. Lunch consists of salads, soups, and achoice of entrees, mains and desserts. Dinner is a multi-course meal also presenting a selection of entrees, mains and desserts. Casual or alfresco dining is also available. On board our Luxury Yacht cruises in Croatia, enjoy a buffet breakfast each morning, and relaxed lunches and dinners with menus featuring locally sourced fresh food including seafood. Meals are served in the indoor restaurant or when weather permits, in the covered area of the Sun Deck. On land, a full buffet breakfast is included each day. Selected lunches and dinners are also included as indicated on itinerary pages. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available on cruises — please notify APT of any special dietary requirements when making your booking. Disruption to Cruising & Itinerary Arrangements Itineraries are subject to alteration without notice and are intended as a guide only. Although every effort will be made to keep them as they are shown in the brochure and final documents, deviations to the planned cruise/touring itineraries and hotels are possible due to road, river or weather conditions, strikes, or other reasons beyond our control. Should conditions render cruise/land touring routes unsafe for navigation, APT reserves the right to provide alternative services including, but not limited to, accommodation not on the docked ship and/or substitute touring arrangements. Dress Code The dress code on our cruises and tours is relaxed. Light, comfortable clothing is ideal for during the day, but smart casual clothing for evenings on board the ship is recommended. You may wish to bring something a little dressier for the welcome and farewell dinners and any special events such as the visit to Namedy Castle, however there will be no black tie or formal evenings. We highly recommend that you pack a variety of light to medium weight clothing, plus rain-wear in case of cooler or wet weather. Layers are a good option to cover a range of temperatures and to suit changing conditions. Comfortable footwear is imperative, as some excursions involve walking on steps or ramps to embark/disembark. If your sightseeing includes churches, monasteries, mosques or synagogues, dress casually, but keep your clothes clean and ensure sufficient body cover (for example, cover your shoulders and wear trousers or a knee-length dress). e Elevator In Europe, an elevator is located on all ships. However, the Piano and Sun decks are not accessible by elevator on Aria and Concerto river ships. All decks are accessible by elevator on the MS AmaMagna except the Sun Deck.
