Day 01: Arrive Vancouver Welcome to Canada. On arrival, you'll be met and whisked to your hotel where you can meet everyone over tonight's welcome dinner. D Stay: Vancouver, Fairmont Waterfront Hotel. Day 02: Vancouver, Rocky Mountaineer, Kamloops Board the Rocky Mountaineer and soak up the views from GoldLeaf Service. BL Stay: Kamloops, hotel as assigned by Rocky Mountaineer (three-star accommodation) BLD: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner 44 Day 03: Kamloops, Rocky Mountaineer, Jasper Your rail journey continues through the Rockies and Jasper National Park. BL Two Nights: Jasper National Park, Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. Day 04: Jasper Choose a Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Sidecar Tour, Athabasca River Rafting or Jasper SkyTram (see page 90). Choose where to dine tonight (see page 94). BD Day O5: Jasper, Athabasca Glacier Cruise Maligne Lake to see Spirit Island. Enjoy lunch at a historic chalet then make a stop at Maligne Canyon and Athabasca Falls. We've organised a special after hours visit to the Glacier Skywalk. Back at the lodge, enjoy dinner with entertainment on the side. BLD Stay: Athabasca Glacier, Glacier View Lodge, in a Glacier View Room. Day O6: Athabasca Glacier, Lake Louise Board an Ice Explorer vehicle and journey onto Athabasca Glacier before the general public is granted access. Choose where you'd like to dine. BD Stay: Banff National Park, Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, in a Lakeview Room. Day 07: Lake Louise, Banff Visit Moraine Lake, then tour Banff and meet a Mountie. Tonight choose where to dine at your hotel. BD Two Nights: Banff National Park, Fairmont Banff Springs, in a Mountain View Room. Canada & Alaska 2023 Day 08: Banff Choose between a Banff Experience, Banff Gondola, Heli-Flightseeing, Bow River Float Trip, Ice Hockey Player for a Day or Willow Stream Spa (see page 90). B Day 09: Banff, Calgary, Yellowknife Head to Calgary airport and fly to Yellowknife (flight not included). This. evening, the gathering of teepees strung out along a private lake at the Aurora Village is the magical setting from which you'll enjoy northern lights viewing. B Three Nights: Yellowknife, The Explorer Hotel, in a Deluxe Room. Day 10: Yellowknife Explore the wilderness with a local guide on the lookout for bison, foxes and birds. Or, take a guided walk along the back trails to learn about the flora and fauna (see page 92). Tonight is spent looking for the northern lights. BD Day 11: Yellowknife Explore the city with a local before a drive through the downtown area to Yellowknife's original settlement. Jump aboard a boat and cruise over Great Slave Lake. Wave to local house boats, watch for birds, and see float planes land and take off. Back at Aurora Village, enjoy a dinner of local dishes like Great Slave Lake white fish and slow-roasted smoked bison prime rib accompanied by First Nation's entertainment in a private ‘ViTeepee’. It's then time to gather in the hope of watching the northern lights shimmer into the night. BD
