BLD Two Nights: Coober Pedy, Desert Cave Hotel. Day 04: Coober Pedy Explore Coober Pedy in depth. Most of the world’s opal comes from this tiny desert town, and you'll learn how they are mined on a visit to the Umoona Opal Mine. Explore the mine for insight into Indigenous and European settlement in the area. Dinner is at your hotel this evening. BLD Kimberley & Outback Wilderness Adventures 2023 Day 05: Oodnadatta Track, William Creek, Birdsville Set off on the Oodnadatta Track past the Dingo Fence, a 5,614-kilometre fence built in the 1880s to protect grazing cattle from dingoes and wild dogs. Arrive in William Creek for a scenic flight to Birdsville where you'll spend the night. BLD Stay: Birdsville Hotel. Day O6: Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre, Marree Fly from Birdsville to William Creek for lunch before reaching Lake Eyre South. Walk on the Salt flats subject to weather conditions. Board an included scenic flight over Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre and continue to your hotel in Marree. BLD Stay: Marree Hotel. Day 07: Gammon Ranges National Park, Arkaroola Explore Gammon Ranges National Park before arriving at Arkaroola. BLD Stay: Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary.
