Be met on arrival and transferred to your luxurious hotel. Tonight, meet your Japan Tour Director for a welcome reception at the hotel. B Three Nights: The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho, a Luxury Collection Hotel. Day 11: Tokyo Head to Roppongi and take in outstanding views of Tokyo from Mori Tower. Visit Asakusa and the city’s oldest temple, Sensoji, before a stroll through the Namikase shopping street. After lunch, explore Tokyo your way. You can delve into the buzzing districts of Shibuya and Harajuku, discover the BLD: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner 36 Japanese gardens at Hamarikyu and the Imperial Palace East Gardens, or visit the Tokyo National Museum. Later, savour a welcome dinner at a delightful Japanese restaurant. BLD Day 12: Tokyo Visit Meiji Shrine before a sushi-making class and enjoy your homemade delights for lunch. Explore Ginza, Tokyo's most famous upmarket shopping district and marvel at the food at a local department store. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. BL Day 13: Tokyo, Hakone Depart for Hakone following breakfast and catch glimpses of iconic Mount Fuji if it’s a clear day. Visit Hakone Shrine, enjoy a cruise on Lake Ashi and arrive at Togendai before heading to the volcanic valley of Owakudani, via the Hakone Ropeway. Transfer to your luxury hotel and enjoy dinner with your fellow guests this evening. BLD Stay: Hakone Kowakien Ten-yu. Day 14: Hakone, Matsumoto, Takayama Set out this morning to Gotemba for a soba buckwheat noodle cooking lesson and lunch. Continue to Matsumoto and visit the spectacular Matsumoto Castle. Explore the castle and its pristine grounds before being transferred to your new hotel in Takayama, where you'll indulge in dinner tonight. BLD Two Nights: Associa Takayama Resort. Japan & South Korea 2024 Day 15: Takayama Visit the Miyagawa morning market to try some of the area's best produce and then enjoy a Sarubobo-making workshop. After lunch, wander through the old town to the Festival Floats Museum. For dinner, you'll savour the region's famous Hida beef. BD Day 16: Takayama, Shirakawa-go, Kanazawa Today you'll visit the World Heritage-listed village of Shirakawa-go. Stop at Kanda House before strolling around the village. Continue to Kanazawa and visit the Kenroku-en garden. Later, visit the Nagamachi Samurai district and the Nomura Samurai House. Choose between Japanese or French food for dinner. BD Stay: Hotel Nikko Kanazawa. Day 17: Kanazawa, Kyoto Start your day in the Higashi Chaya District, Kanazawe’'s largest geisha district. Relish a gold leaf-making experience and decorate a small lacquer plate, before visiting the Shima teahouse. Transfer to the train station to board your first-class train to Kyoto. Check in to your accommodation before dinner at a local restaurant. BLD Four Nights: The Thousand Kyoto. Day 18: Kyoto Set out for Arashiyama and tide a rickshaw past the Nonomiya Shrine and Arashiyama Bamboo Grove. Later, visit Tenryuji Temple. After lunch, head to the iconic temple, Kinkakuji.
