DAY 2 - 4 - CAPE TOWN Three full days at leisure to explore the sights of Cape Town. You may choose to visit Robben Island, ascend to the top of Table Mountain, spend a day exploring the Cape Peninsula or just relax and stroll around the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. (8) DAY 7 - CAPE WINELANDS ~ OUDTSHOORN After breakfast this morning, travel to Swellendam, the third oldest settlement in South Africa. The town was founded by the Dutch East India Company in 1745 and is situated between Cape Town and George. Continue to Oudtshoorn for overnight. Your drive today will take approximately five hours along the scenic Route 62. (B) DAY 8 - OUDTSHOORN - KNYSNA / PLETTENBERG BAY Today drive approximately two hours to Knysna, known as the ‘Gem of the Garden Route’. Nestled between the impressive Outeniqua Mountains and the Indian Ocean, the Knysna estuary is protected from the sea by the monolithic sandstone ‘Heads’. Stay three nights at your chosen level of hotel (Silver & Platinum Level will stay in Plettenberg Bay). (B) DAY 9 - 10 - KNYSNA / PLETTENBERG BAY Two full days at leisure to enjoy al the sights available along the Garden Route. Suggested activities in the region include a visit to the Keurbooms River Nature Reserve, Plettenberg Bay, Monkeyland as well as the many activities on the lagoon in Knysna itself.
