DAY 2 - NAIROBI — MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE After breakfast, depart Nairobi for the journey into the homelands of the Maasai. The world famous Masai Mara, located on Kenya's southern border with Tanzania, constitutes the northern stretch of the Serengeti and has the richest concentration of animals in Kenya. The Mara will be your home for the next four nights staying at the Sarova Mara Game Camp. (BLD) DAY 3 - MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE Spend the day on game drives taking you through the vast plains of the Mara searching for the ‘Big Five’, with lunch taken back in camp. Depending on where the migration is, you may witness the wildebeest and zebra herds cross the river, battling with crocodiles lying in wait, or lions and other predators that the herds attract at this time of year. To see the migration crossing a river is the ultimate game watching experience. Return to camp for dinner. (BLD) DAY 5 — MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE As the wildlife is unpredictable, today you could be watching the river crossing or taking a game drive. Whatever you do the Masai Mara is always spectacular. (BLD) DAY 6 - MASAI MARA — LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK After breakfast, drive to Lake Nakuru, renowned for its abundance of birdlife, or a two night stay at the Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge. Enjoy an afternoon game drive before dinner and overnight back at the lodge. (BLD) DAY 7 - LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK After an early breakfast, take a game drive in the National Park. In November the herds head south and by early December the migration begins to move into the Ndutu region of Ngorongoro. By February the calving season begins. From April to May the herd migrates north into the Serengeti National Park and towards its Western Corridor and the Grumeti River.
