There aren't many horror films with such an overall sense of dread and despair as the original TCM. | think the matter of fact way it presents its brutal violence, as something that is commonplace, is far more disturbing and terrifying than constant jump scares or CGl effects Breaking Bad, hands down. The acting and directing can't be faulted, but it's the writing that impresses me so much. The show isn't afraid to get ugly, putting its characters into horrible, morally dubious situations without copping out or letting them off the hook. The characters are layered enough that you can root for them while hating them at the same time Sau RRO Um LCN g \d? Pes heesaiac Everything Everywhere All at Once is somehow sprawling and huge, but also incredibly intimate and heartfelt. It's also one of the most ambitious, inventive and surprising films I've seen in a long time. And Better Call Saufs final season was every bit as unpredictable and tragic as I'd hoped. For a show that could have been a totally unnecessary spin-off of Breaking Bad, it managed to carve out its own identity and become something quieter and more character-driven than its predecessor, but arguably just as brilliant.
