Few people would have been game for the challenge of restoring this piece, but Donna saw its inherent charm and i potential. “| couldn't believe it when | saw this old girl on Facebook Marketplace,” says Donna. “It was a young couple who were pulling down an old shed to renovate and this cupboard had been in the shed for about 50 years. | couldn't get it in the trailer fast enough!" Tackling the layers of oil-based paint with stripper was a project and a half, and some of the mysterious stains weren't going anywhere, but Donna says, “I do love some of the old to stay with the piece.” The shelf has been finished with coconut oil, then sealed, with shoes stored in baskets underneath.
