Day 1. Depart Australia Day 2. Arrive London Welcome to England and its lively capital, London. Meet your fellow travellers and tour director this evening for a welcome drink. Day 3.London Acapital filled with history and culture, Londonis one of the world's most visited destinations. Explore some of the most iconic sites today on a city tour, seeing Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge, the Tower of London and Trafalgar Square, as well as visiting St Paul's Cathedral. The afternoon is at leisure before tonight's group welcome dinner. Day 4. London - Winchester - Exeter “B Today we head southwest to the city of Exeter which dates back to the Roman era. We'll stop in the city of Winchester to visit the Church of England's Winchester Cathedral before travelling along the English Channel coast and settling in Exeter. Day 5. Exeter - Falmouth We make our way to the coast of Cornwall today. Along the way we'll visit the Dartmoor Pony Heritage Trust and meet some of the local ponies, before venturing to the historic Buckland Abbey. Next, we stop at Healey's Cornish Cider Farm to tour the family-run farm and enjoy a tasting of the ciders and spirits they produce. Day 6. Cornwall Excursion * Visit the National Trust's Trelissick Garden, boasting extraordinary views over the riverine and a huge variety of plant species. Next we depart for the town of Marazion, famous for St Michael's Mount, a small tidal island in Mount's Bay. We'll then see the open-air Minack Theatre before visiting the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Botallack Mine. Our last stop today is St Ives, famous for its surf beaches and art scene. Day 7. Falmouth - Barnstaple BL It’s time to head north today as we set our sights on the quaint town of Barnstaple, nestled near the spectacular scenery of Exmoor National Park. On our way we'll tour the Victorian-era Lahyndrock Estate and visit the quaint fishing village of Port Isaac for lunch. This afternoon we will be dazzled by the views of the rugged coastline from Tintagel Castle, famous for its strong association with the legend of King Arthur. Day 8. Barnstaple - Bath We depart for Bath this morning enjoying a visit to the Valley of the Rocks before driving through the scenic landscapes of Exmoor National Park. Next, we venture to the town famous for its cheese, Cheddar, and stop at the Cheddar Cheese Visitor Centre. We'll also see Cheddar Gorge before stopping in the village of Avebury to see the fascinating stone circles. Day 9. Bath “B This morning we'll explore Bath on a walking tour. Highlights include the Pulteney Bridge, Royal Crescent and the famous Roman Baths. Set alongside a temple designed to heal, and surrounded by 18th and 19th century buildings, these baths now stand as one of the best-preserved ancient Roman spas. The afternoon is then free for you to explore at your own pace. Day 10. Bath - Cardiff - Llandovery We depart for the capital of Wales, Cardiff, crossing the Severn Bridge on the way. Here we'll take a city tour to see City Hall, Cardiff “BD *B Castle and the harbour. We then continue to Caerphilly Castle for a tour before making our way through Brecon Beacons National Park, ‘one of the finest landscapes in Wales. Day 11. Llandovery - Liverpool “B We cross back into England today, making our way to Liverpool. We Take a steam train on the Vale of Rheidol Railway from Aberystwyth to Devils Bridge, also known as Pontarfynach. We'll then venture through the idyllic Snowdonia National Park, to the town of Tal- y-cafn and visit the Bodnant Gardens which were founded in 1874 and span over 80 acres. Day 12. Liverpool “B he Explore Liverpool's famous sites on a Beatles tour, including a visit to the iconic museum, The Beatles Story. Enjoy free time this afternoon. Day 13. Liverpool - York “’B Travel to York today and enjoy a walking tour of the city to visit York Minster, see Cliffords Tower and explore the ancient alleys, ginnels, snickets and lanes known locally as shambles and snickelways. Day 14. York * Travel along the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, a heritage railway which runs through the North York Moors National Park from Pickering to Whitby. Enjoy time to explore the coastal town of Whitby before returning back to York and spend the rest the day at leisure. Day 15. York - Glasgow “’B Today we say ‘Hello Glasgow! as we cross the border into Scotland. te Visit Wensleydale Creamery to taste the iconic cheese that was a favourite of famous clay animation characters Wallace and Gromit. Next we head to the Lake District, where it's time to set sail and enjoy a cruise on Lake Windermere, the largest natural lake in England. Crossing the Anglo-Scottish border into Scotland, we stop at Gretna Green before reaching Glasgow. Day 16. Glasgow “B We get to know Glasgow alittle better today as we explore the city on a walking tour. Highlights include the Merchant District, George Square and Royal Exchange Square. Take the time to explore the city at your own pace this afternoon, or sit back and relax at ‘one of the many bars. Day 17. Glasgow - Inverness Making our way through the Scottish countryside this morning, we'll pass through Trossachs National Park, home to bonny Loch Lomond. After a quick stop to photograph Scotland's most famous glen, Glencoe, we'll enjoy some free time in the town of Fort William. As we make our way to Inverness, we will travel along the edge of Loch Ness. Make sure to keep an eye out for Nessy! Day 18. Inverness - Edinburgh “~B Venturing east today, our first stop en route to Edinburgh is the historic Culloden Battlefield. Britain’s largest national park, Cairngorms is next, where we visit the village of Carrbridge and enjoy a guided walk to Kinveachy. Have a wee dram of single malt scotch whisky and discover the production process at the Blair Athol Distillery. Day 19. Edinburgh “BD Home to a medieval Old Town, and an elegant New Town, Edinburgh is filled with amazing and historic sites. Today we will get to “~B “«B explore these on a city tour. We'll see St Giles Cathedral and visit the emblematic Edinburgh Castle. We enjoy a group farewell dinner at a local resturant this evening. Day 20. Depart Edinburgh Today marks the completion of our journey through England, Scotland and Wales. Day 21.
