Arrive in Tokyo. On day 2 we take in the Sensoji Temple district, futuristic Harajuku district and the famous Shibuya Crossing, the busiest pedestrian intersection in the world. Overnight - Tokyo (2). Days 3 & 4 On day 3 we visit Kamakura, where we see the iconic bronze Buddha and explore the Hokokuji Zen Temple and garden, then return to Tokyo. Visit the Edo Museum on day 4 and spend the afternoon at leisure. Overnight - Tokyo (2). Days 5 ~ 7 Travel to Lake Kawaguchi on day 5, in the shadow of snow-capped Mt Fuji. Spend the night in a traditional Japanese ryokan and relax in the natural hot spring baths. On day 6 we take the bullet train to Kyoto to tour Sanjusagen- do Temple and the famous Geisha district of Gion. Days 10 - 12 Onday 10 we visit the Peace Park and Museum, then take in the A-Bomb Dome at the site where the 1945 atomic bomb was dropped. We also see the sobering Children’s Peace Monument before returning to Kyoto by bullet train. Day 11 is free, and our tour ends on day 12 (Wednesday) with a bus or train transfer to Osaka airport.
