The next day may leave you hot under the collar if you sample Wasabi ice cream on our tour of Daio Wasabi Farm. We then drive to Takayama in the Hida Mountains and visit the Hida Folk Village. We spend the night in a traditional Japanese ryokan. Day 5 sees us wandering Takayama market and the Old Quarter. Overnight - Matsumoto (1), Takayama (2). Day 6 Arriving in Kanazawa, we visit the Nagamachi Samurai district and Ninja Temple. Later we relax in Kenrokuen Garden, one of the best places to see Japan’s famous pink cherry ps Matsumoto Castle, Japan blossoms. Sip tea at a traditional Japanese tea ceremony. Overnight - Kanazawa. Days 7 - 9 Taking the train to Kyoto on day 7 we tour Sanjusagen-do Temple and the Fushimi Inari Shrine. The next day we visit Hiroshima to see the iconic A-Bomb Dome and the Children’s Peace Monument. On day 9 we discover the Zen temple of Kinkakuji, Nijo Castle and the Geisha district of Gion. Overnight - Kyoto (3). Days 10 & 11 Day 10 sees us take the train to Hakone National Park, at the foot of Mt Fuji During our time here we cruise on Lake Ashi and take the switchback railway to visit Shinto shrines Overnight - Hakone (2).
