DAY 5: Kirkenes, embarkation Embark on our sea voyage south, where Vardo awaits in the afternoon. Weather permitting, brave swimmers may want to take an optional dip in the icy Arctic Ocean! Cruise along the Varanger Peninsula to Batsfjord and Berlevag, home to Norway's most famous male choir comprising of local fishermen. DAY 6: Mehamn - Tromso Join an optional snowmobile trip through the Arctic wilderness and very possibly under the Northern Lights. Pass through various ports including Hammerfest where UNESCO- listed Meridian Column honours the first geographic measurement of the globe. Also enjoy an optional Northern Lights concert at the Arctic Cathedral. DAY 7: Tromso - Stamsund Take in one of our optional, classic excursions, A Taste of Vesteralen. Those who stay on the ship experience our passage through the Risoyrenna, a shallow channel built for Hurtigruten Norwegian Coastal Express in the 1920s. Sail through the world-famous islands of Lofoten and Vesteralen. Continue to Stokmarknes, where Hurtigruten Norwegian Coastal Express began more than 127 years ago. DAY 8 : Bodo - Rorvik Celebrate crossing the Arctic Circle with an Arctic tradition - a spoonful of cod liver oil. See the strange mountain, Torghatten, famous for the distinctive hole through its centre and sail past the Seven Sisters mountain range. DAY 9: Trondheim ~ Alesund Explore the wooden town of Trondheim where Nidaros Cathedral lies. Discover Kristiansund the âdried cod capitalâ. Optionally, visit Bergtatt marble mine before a meal in the mineâs âGrand Hallâ. Those who remain aboard at Kristiansund will experience open sea crossing towards Molde, Norwayâs'City of Rosesâ DAY 10: Alesund - Bergen Immerse in the fascinating scenery including picturesque Nordfjord beneath Jostedal Glacier. Welll cross the mouth of mighty Sognefjord, a magnificent island-studded coastline en route. DAY 1: Bergen Take a Bergen sightseeing tour, including a walking tour of UNESCO World Heritage listed Bryggen, St Mary's Church, Hakonâs Hall, and Troldhaugen, former home of Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg. DAY 12: Bergen - Oslo (Norway ina Nutshell) Enjoy an amazing journey by rail, coach and ferry on the famous âNorway ina Nutshellâ route between Bergen and Oslo. In Gudvangen enjoy a fjord cruise along the UNESCO protected Neroyfjord, ending in the quaint village of Flam. From here board the famous Flam Railway, one of the worldâs most scenic rail journeys. DAY 13: Oslo Enjoy an Oslo sightseeing tour including the Vigeland Sculpture Park, Historical Museum, Oslo Opera House, Holmenkollen Ski Jump and more. Join the group for tonight's farewell dinner ata local restaurant. DAY 14: Oslo Our tour ends after breakfast.
