Continue to the Rano Kao volcano, where a deep crater of lush vegetation contains a large fresh-water lake After, explore Orongo and Ahu Vinapu, where Inca masonry is shown through interesting architecture. BLD Day 3. Rano Raraku, Anakena Travel to the extinct volcano of Poike. Then drive to Vaihu to learn how locals honour death through celebration. See a Paina (a ceremonial stone circle) and eight fallen Moais, before visiting the volcanic crater of Rano Raraku. Set on the slopes of Terevaka, this quarry supplied stone for about 95 percent of the island's sculptures. See many incomplete statues here, notable for their inaccessibility and size. Later, travel to Ahu Tongariki, home to the island's largest ahu and white-sand Anakena beach. BLD Day 4.
