Your journey begins in the world-famous Victoria Falls, and wildlife highlights include the Cubango and Chobe Rivers, the Okavango Delta, and the Kgalagaladi and Etosha National Parks. DAY 2 - 3 —- CHOBE RIVER Cross into Botswana to Chobe, famous for its beautiful scenery, magnificent sunsets, abundance of wildlife, and birdlife. Relax on a morning game drive and a sunset game-viewing cruise on the Chobe River. Overnight Chobe Safari Lodge. (BD) DAY 4 -— 5 —- OKAVANGO DELTA Travel via the Caprivi and stay on the edge of the Okavango Delta. Travel by boat into the delta and enjoy game walks, mokoro (dugout canoe) and boat excursions in the area, (subject to water levels). Overnight Swampstop chalets. (BD/BLD) DAY 6 — OKAVANGO RIVER Depart the Delta back through the Caprivi Strip and spend the night amongst the lush vegetation overlooking the Okavango River. An optional afternoon boat cruise on the river is available (own expense). Overnight Hakusembe River Lodge (BD) DAY 7 - 8 —- ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK Journey to Etosha National Park, one of Africa's most important reserves and game sanctuaries, with thousands of wild animals such as blue wildebeest, springbok, zebra, kudu, giraffe, cheetah, leopard, lion and elephant. Enjoy a full day game drive in open 4x4 vehicles. Overnight Etosha Village. (BD) DAY 9 - DAMARALAND Continue to Damaraland, one of the most scenic areas of Namibia. Overnight Ugab Terrace Lodge (BD) DAY 10 - SWAKOPMUND Head south through vast and rugged terrain to Swakopmund and spend the afternoon exploring this German colonial town. Overnight The Delight (B) DAY 11 - 12 - SESRIEM Journey south to the edge of the Namib Desert and venture to the world’s highest sand dunes for a walk to Sossusvlei and Deadvlei. In the afternoon, enjoy a short hike at Sesriem Canyon. Overnight Desert Quiver Camp (BD) DAY 13 - FISH RIVER CANYON Continue through varied landscapes, and later in the afternoon, visit Fish River Canyon, one of the world's largest and most awe-inspiring canyons. Overnight Canyon Village (BD) DAY 14 - 15 — KGALAGADI TRANSFRONTIER PARK Travel into the heart of the Kalahari and the magnificent Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, one of the largest reserves in Africa. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives. Overnight Kgalagadi Lodge (BD) DAY 16 - AUGRABIES FALLS NATIONAL PARK Pass through an abundance of wine farms en-route to Augrabies Falls National Park, where the mighty Orange River plummets 56m into the gorge below. Spend the afternoon enjoying the falls. Overnight Kakamas Hotel (B) DAY 17 - NAMAQUALAND Continue through the picturesque Namaqualand region and overnight at the foot of the Vanrhyns Pass. During Aug ~ Oct, the landscape is transformed into an explosion of colour from the wildflowers in the region. There is an opportunity for a local wine tasting this afternoon (own expense). Overnight Highlanders Guesthouse (BD) DAY 18 - 19 - CAPE TOWN Travel via the spectacular Vanrhyns Pass and arrive in Cape Town mid-afternoon for the last two nights at a Waterfront hotel. Visit the Cape Peninsula via Hout Bay and Chapmans Peak, and a morning or afternoon cable car ascent up Table Mountain is included (weather dependant).
