Celebrated annually around the globe, Pink Shirt Day began in Canada in 2007 when two students took a stand against homophobic bullying after a peer was bullied for wearing a pink shirt It supports the Mental Health Foundation in raising awareness about bullying prevention, funding education workshops and supplying free resources to promote inclusive workplaces, schools and communities. In New Zealand, Pink Shirt Day works to create schools, workplaces, communities and whanau where everyone feels safe, valued and respected Our team was pleased to play a part in creating awareness to stop bullying, celebrate diversity and help promote kindness and inclusiveness.
