Language The official language used by APT staff worldwide is English. All staff, crew and local guides speak fluent English throughout Asia. All onboard announcements will be conducted in English. Laundry The Mekong Serenity provides complimentary laundry service for two pieces per person per day. Additional laundry services are available on board and price lists will be available in your suite. Clothes cannot be dry-cleaned on board. Self-service laundry facilities are not available on board. For safety reasons, you cannot use an iron in your suite. Luggage Luggage limits on checked baggage vary depending on your international airline, however, it is important to adhere to the APT luggage restrictions, of 2Okg (44lb). If your tour includes flights within Asia, these airlines carry a strict luggage limit of 20kg. An additional charge may be imposed if your luggage exceeds this weight. m Medical In Vietnam and Cambodia, you can access experienced local and expat doctors; medical advice over the phone; medical referrals; arrangement of hospital admission and emergency medical evacuation. Medical services are not available on your Cruise as there are no medical personnel on board. Medical services can be called from shore, as ships are usually close to a town. The above may incur additional fees and is not to be used as a substitute for travel insurance. r Restaurants on Board Mekong Serenity, Mekong River + Lemongrass Restaurant (main dining area). * Indochine Private Dining (private 16-seat restaurant, serving a Vietnamese share menu). + Horizon Bar & Grill next to the pool, serving drinks and light lunches. + Harmony Lounge & Bar (serving early morning tea and coffee, and drinks until the late evening). Shore Excursions Participation in shore excursions is at your discretion. If you would like to explore independently, your cruise director can make suggestions as to places to visit. You must make sure to return to the ship before it departs. Smoking Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside any of our ships. Smoking is only permitted in designated areas. The same policy applies for electronic cigarettes. Spa Facilities Spa facilities and experiences vary on board each ship. See below for more information. Swimming Pool There is a swimming pool located on board the Mekong Serenity. t Telephone All suites are equipped with a telephone. It can be used to call between suites as well as reception. Travel Insurance Travel insurance is not included in your holiday package. You are required to purchase comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking that includes (without limitation) coverage for the cost of your holiday package, medical expenses, loss of luggage, cruise and land content and airfare charges that may occur due to cancellation, impossibility of performance or other frustration, disruption, loss of deposit or strikes. Vv Vaccinations Travel vaccinations such as Typhoid and Malaria may be required in some countries. We suggest you consult your GP or travel clinic prior to your travels for the latest vaccination and medical advice. Visas - Vietnam & Cambodia Visa requirements are subject to change, with the COVID-19 pandemic having closed borders to international travellers. In general, passport holders from Australia, New Zealand and the US will require a visa to enter Vietnam, while British passport holders may not require a single-entry visa when spending less than 15 days in Vietnam. For up-to-date visa regulations, visit vietnamvisa.govtvn. All passport holders will need at least six months’ validity on their documents. Australian, New Zealand, British and US passport holders require a visa for Cambodia, but again the situation is fluid. Normally visas can be obtained on arrival at Siem Reap Airport or on board your cruise if sailing from Vietnam to Cambodia. As well, an e-visa can be obtained before arrival in Cambodia.
